| Velvet Dark - The Sequel to Perfect Dark? After Rareware's recent copyrighting of the name Gnomeman it looks like Rare is again doing more shady business. Just this week Rareware extended their license on the character Velvet Dark, who we all know is Joanna Dark's sister. They only extended the license for another two years though. To me this says that one Velvet Dark is going to be in Perfect Dark Zero or whatever the next Perfect Dark incarnation turns out to be. Could Velvet be Joanna's enemy in PD0? Could she be the protagonist? It may be that she will simply be included in the mutliplayer (and hopefully online) feature. Either way Rare has extended the license of an existing character and created a new one as of late... Rare is definitely up to something...AGAIN! Editor's Thoughts: This seems to be more of a confirmation that there is indeed a Perfect Dark sequel in development within Rare. Why else would they proceed to renew a copyright on a name that we all know so well? I believe that Rare will announce a Perfect Dark sequel around the time of the American release of Starfox Adventures. In the sequel/prequel, Velvet must seek out Joanna who is being held by an unknown enemy. But hey, that's just my point of view. Source: MundoRare |
