My voice.

Long ago
I had no voice
I could talk about
nothing
for hours.

a brilliant thought
cam to me
it wouldn't escape
from my lips
but get caught
in my throat
where they would die

To those around
I was dumb
having never uttered
and intelligent word
they remained locked
in the corners of my mind.

Out of the blue
my voice was reborn
relentlessly, incessantly
reincarnationg iteslf.

My voice
was liberated
no longer would
words
lock themeselves
behind the doors
of my throat.

they were ready to
fly free
and go out
and embrace the world.
