Pomes!
These are poems that dont deserve the honour of being called such. limmeriks and strange little rhyimng jobs my brain thinks up when prodded in the driection of something vile, like Chemistry. Some are quite old. All are quite odd. About both Rugby and Cricket, because, lets face it, they dont deserve two pages.
Well, the end of year is coming up and that means many things to me -exams, and stress, and sunny days Plus the best end of the NPC. Now Im a good Wellington lass so I know whos the best I take my seat at the stadium to watch the Lions beat the rest When they first took the field our boys played with skill and cunning Dishing out a beating to Canterbury The Lions were off and running. Next they headed south to Invercargill the going got pretty tough a heartbreakingly narrow loss Our team fought, but it wasnt enough. Back home at the Lions Den they faced the Taniwha Lions winning 51-18 A drop of magic went bloody far. So off they went to the big smoke to play Troy Flavells men they held on through the second half And were back on track again. A storm was brewing at the Caketin with Waikato at the door both teams produced some great thunder What a pity about the score. Our Naki neighbours headed down for a makeshift Hurricanes trial we sent them packing with a decent win And Jason Spice made us smile. But going down South seemed to be a curse (Our boys heading to the house of pain) Blair Feeney helped us to a 1 point loss, Carisbrook earned its name again. Then the Lions shot off to Peters country to battle against the Bay an amazing 54 point romp Records fell all day. But this is just the beginning and I cant write the end Auckland are at the Tin on Friday Its winner-take-all this weekend. So Im sending out a huge GOOD LUCK to Tana and the boys your fans will be there at the game Making heaps of noise. And Im sending them a message, one from all the crowd Youre our heroes, Wellington go forth and make us proud! (wellington got dicked that weekend, seems like my bit of encouraging dint work)
