| This is my baby........ I bought this car on the 09 September 2001 from Smart Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire (England). I have loved these cars ever since I saw them in Spain in 1998 when I was on holiday. They weren't widely available in England at that time so I was fascinated when I saw them. On returning back to England I soon forgot those little cars until I saw them on an exhibition stand at the Northampton Balloon Festival a few months later. When I passed my driving test in April 2001 I suddenly realised I had seen some of these cars on the roads. I wanted one badly but couldn't afford one as I already had a Citroen AX. In August, I had a spur of a moment decision and thought I'd buy a Smart Car. And that's where my love affair started..... I test drove a black and pistachio green one round Milton Keynes for 30 minutes and decided, that was the car for me. I paid my deposit, chose the colour and registration number I wanted and then came back a week later to pay the balance. And there it was, my very own beautiful Smartie. I have sinced joined two Internet Smart Car Clubs; smartclub.co.uk and funkysmart.co.uk, where I can chat with fellow enthusiasts. I love this car because when you see another Smartie, 9 times out of 10 they acknowledge you with a flash of their lights and a wave. How many other car owners do that?? Smart owners are some of the friendliest and happiest people about....they would have to be, to drive a fun car like this! If you like receiving attention you need one of these cars. You always get attention in it. With prices starting from �8000, you have to admit this car is good value for money. |
