Our friends are like angels,
  Who brighten our days.
  In all kinds of wonderful,
  Magical ways.

  Their thoughtfulness comes,
  As a gift from above.
  And we feel we're surrounded,
  By warm, caring love.

  Like upside-down rainbows,
  Their smiles bring the sun.
  And they fill ho-hum moments,
  With laughter and fun.

  Friends are like angels,
  Without any wings.
  Blessing our lives,
  With the most precious things.

We want you to know that
our prayers are with you.

The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up
on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed
feverishly for God to rescue him, and every
day he scanned the horizon for help,  but
none seemed forthcoming.  Exhausted, he
eventually managed to build a little hut out
of driftwood to protect him from the
elements, and to store his few 
possessions.   But then one day, after
scavenging for food,  he arrived home to
find his little hut in flames, the smoke
rolling up to the sky. The worst had
happened; everything was lost. He was
stung with grief and anger. "God, how could
you do this to me!" he cried.  Early the next
day, however, he was awakened by the
sound of a ship that was approaching the
island. It had come to  rescue him. "How
did you know I was here?" asked the weary
man of  his rescuers.  "We saw your smoke
signal," they replied. It is easy to get
discouraged when things are going bad. But
we shouldn't lose heart. Remember next
time your little hut is  burning to the ground
- - it just may be a smoke signal that
summons the grace of God.
 

The more you give, the more you get --
The more you laugh, the less you fret --
The more you do UNSELFISHLY,
The more you live ABUNDANTLY . .

 I asked God to take away my pride,
    And God said, "No." 
 He said it was not for Him to take away,
    but for me to give up.

 I asked God to make my handicapped child whole,
   And God said, "No."
 He said her spirit is whole,
   Her body is only temporary.

 I asked God to grant me patience,
    And God said, "No."
 He said that patience is a byproduct of tribulation,
    It isn't granted, it's earned.

 I asked God to give me happiness,
    And God said, "No."
 He said He gives blessings,
    Happiness is up to me.

 I asked God to spare me pain,
    And God said, "No."
 He said, "Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
    And brings you close to Me.

 I asked God to make my spirit grow,
    And God said, "No."
 He said I must grow on my own,
    But He will prune me to make me fruitful.

 I asked God to help me love others,
    As much as He loves me,
 And God said,
    "Ah, finally, you have the idea."
