‘Woe! 

Woe the mighty system!’ 

which, clothed with fine linen 

and purple 

and scarlet 

and gilded with gold 

and stones precious 

and pearls 

for suddenly such a great empire was made
desolate 

and every ship master 

and every one that sails to any place 

and sailors 

and as many as trade by sea 

stood far off and cried out 

weeping and mourning saying, 

‘Woe! Woe the great system

in which were enriched all who had ships in the
sea on account of its lucrative and profitable
marketplace, 

for suddenly it was made desolate! 

Rejoice over her heaven 

and holy apostles 

and prophets 

for God has judged your judgment on her!’ 

and one strong angel took up a stone like a mighty
millstone 

and cast it into the sea saying, 

'Thus with a mighty fall 

shall the great babylonian system be cast down 

and the voices 

and the voice of harpers

and minstrels 

and flute players 

and trumpeters 

shall be heard no more at all in her 

and no craftsman 

of any craft 

shall be found any more in her 

and the sound of the millstone 

shall be heard no more at all in her 

and the light of a lamp 

shall shine no more at all in her 

and the voice of the bridegroom 

and of the bride shall 

be heard no more at all in her. 

In her was found the blood of the prophets 

and the saints 

and all of those who were slain on the earth 

because the princes of the earth 

were the merchants of the earth 

and by their misuse of drugs and enchantments 

the multitudes were deceived!’ 

After these things I heard as it were a great voice 

of a great multitude 

in heaven saying, 'Hallelujah! 

The salvation and the glory 

and the honor 

and the power 

belong to our God 

for true and righteous His judgments 

for he has judged the great idolatrous whore 

who corrupted the earth 

with her misuse of drugs 

and enchantments 

and has avenged the blood of His servants 

at her hand!' 

and a second time they say, 'Hallelujah!'

and her smoke goes up for ever 

and ever

and the four and twenty elders

and the four beings fell down 

and worshipped God that sits on the throne 

saying, 'Amen! Hallelujah! 

Praise our God all you servants, 

you that fear Him both small and great!’ 

and I heard as it were the voice of a great
multitude 

as a voice of rushing waters 

and as the voice of many thunders 

saying, 'Hallelujah! 

For the Lord God Almighty reigns. 

Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad

and let us give the glory to Him 

for the marriage of the Lamb has come 

and His wife has made herself ready 

and it was given to her 

that she should array herself in fine linen 

bright and pure 

for the linen is the righteous acts of the saints!’

and He said to me, 

'Blessed are they which are called to the marriage
supper of the Lamb!’ 

and He said to me, 

'These are the true sayings of God!'

and I fell at his feet to pay homage to him 

and he says to me, 

'See you do it not! 

I am your brother and fellow servant

who has the testimony of Jesus! 

To God do homage, 

because the testimony of Jesus

is the Spirit of Prophecy!'
