Dan 11:37-39
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces:(a fortified place; figuratively, a defence: KJV-- force, fort (-ress), rock, strength (-en), (X most) strong (hold).)
and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a "strange" (foreign, or (concretely) a foreigner, or (abstractly) heathendom: KJV-- alien, strange (+-er.)
god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for "gain." (from an unused root meaning to buy; price, payment, wages: KJV-- gain, hire, price, sold, worth.)
Please note that the United States is now offering huge sums of money to Israel to compensate her for the giving up parts of her land on. If Israel takes the offer, then she will be in a dire situation of needing a very strong leader to protect and "defend" her. Israel will not have peace till she gives up some of her land.And if she gives up her land she will need to be protected. I can imagine that these talks will fail until the strong leader steps in to make it a reality. This could be done by the antichrist guaranteeing Israelis safety under "his" peace treaty. He will allow Israel to give up her land for cash payments from the United States with a guarantee of protection from the antichrist.
I strongly feel that tis new protection will be the peace treaty talked about in the book of Daniel. Not only will the antichrist sign a protection pact to keep the peace in the middle east, but he will also allow the Jews to rebuild the new Temple. After all, he will have it built for one purpose only. Is that to help the Jews. No. It's so that he will have a place in which to be worshiped. When the antichrist signs the peace accord and the people say peace at last, then the tribulation will begin and we will be gone.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel and the Palestinians on Tuesday signed maps that pave the way for the transfer by Israel of five percent of West Bank territory to full or partial Palestinian control, an Israeli army statement said.
Israeli and Palestinian military officials ``signed this evening in Tel Aviv the maps of the second phase of the redeployment of the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement...the implementation will take place in the field within 48 hours,'' the statement said.
The statement added that the handover would involve five percent of West Bank land.
``Israel will hand over two percent of land in the Judean desert nature reserve and three
percent of land near the West Bank towns of Ramallah and Nablus,'' Shlomo Dror, of the
Civil Administration that oversees Israeli-controlled areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip,
earlier told Reuters.
The signing followed a Tuesday meeting between Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat and
Israeli negotiator Oded Eran in which Israel agreed to also transfer a further 6.1 percent of
the West Bank on January 20 under a September interim deal.
The handover had been due to take place on November 15, but had been put on hold after
the two sides disagreed over which areas of land to transfer.
