This is the little city of Vernon BC.. where I was born, and just moved from.
It's located in the Northern Okanagan Valley. It's a neat little city.. plenty to do outdoors.
We have all sorts of different terrains here. In some places it's humid, rich soil
(Best fruit in the world is grown here).
Then in some places (In the summer) it's dry, hot and you can find cacti and rattle snakes.
Lakes everywhere and mountains all around.. well it's very beautiful as you can see....

This is Ellison Park.. more forest than beach.. but a great place for cliff diving and hiking.

This is a westwardly view of Kalamalka Lake.
(Vernon is directly behind this view point.)

Here's a great shot of one of Vernon's many apple orchards.
(Kalamalka lake is on the other side of that hill)

This is what summer looks like (dry).
(This is Kalamalka Lake)

This is downtown Vernon.. as you can see... not much to talk about. It has remained unchanged from when I can remember. Some great little shops down here though.

Well there you have it.. my home town. The city itself isn't much to talk about. The main industry in the area is industrial. So for a computer nerd like myself it's not the place for me.
But this area has some of the most beautiful views.. and the best fruit of course. hehe.
