Disgruntle Dave's College Friends

So Carrie and I met because of Tabitha. I borrowed Tabi's Counting Crow's CD to uhhh..listen to...and when I took it back she was next door with Carrie so I started talkin to her, and Karen too, and well, by the end of the day I had a pink mohawk. Carrie rocks, she has some great quotes. She's got a thing for Scott. It's really cute. Yes, Disgruntle Dave said cute. Well anywho, Carrie rocks.

Clay lived right across the hall from me during my freshman year of college. He was in the Army ROTC. One day I heard him playing Red Alert on his computer and because of that we actually started talking to each other some. Once we realized that we both like the military we got to talking more and have since become good friends. His knowledge of the Army and the firearms combined with my knowledge of the military aircraft side make us very compatable for identifying military weapons and applications. He lives next door to Dan and I.

I met Dan in the fall semester that he moved in with Clay. Dan is in the Army ROTC even though Clay has since parted with the course. Dan also knows a lot about guns and the military so he and Clay got along well as roommates. The three of us get along very well, sharing knowledge and stories. I introduced Dan to the homies at Cross Quest a couple of times in the fall of 2001. I roomed with Dan for the 2002/2003 school year, and we are getting an apartment together for the 2003/2004 school year.

I met Crazy Dave my first semester of college. He lived with Andrew. After first semester Dave moved on to bigger and better things. We hung out second semester, and he introduced me to the art of ultimate frisbee. We still see each other at Cross Quest and various other times. Dave is engaged to be married sometime to his fiance Susan. She's cool. This picture was taken during my first semester in the dorms. So it's kindof old.

I met John in my Calculus class my first semester of college. We suffered through the hell together, and then we also suffered through engineering physics. John has a cool snake. I think he eventually wants to do something involving chemistry. He also has a passion for photography. He claims that if he could he would live in Europe. I guess this came about when he spent a semester studying over in Europe.

I met Karen at college in April of 2003. She always has something interesting to say, or questions to ask. We took a walk in the rain one night and I found out that Karen enjoys stomping in water puddles. Very amusing. She's very graceful at doing so as well. She loves John Mayer. It's similar to my obsession with ducttape I suppose. She keeps me on my toes by pondering questions that require delicate thought and careful examination. Recently she decided to ponder the posibility of us being a couple. It wasn't too much later that I asked her if she'd be my punk rock princess. I told her I'd be her garage band king. He he. To my delight she agreed. Yay! Karen rules.

I met Laura through Rustin and Crazy Dave and the rest of the gang at Cross Quest. I would occasionally see her during my first semester, but during second semester when I made Cross Quest a regular habit we actually started talking a little bit. During the fall of 2001 Laura and Dan and I spent many a dinners together talking about whatever. Sometimes Laura is in her own little world; but that's okay. She's often very quiet. So when she does speak it's something worth listening to. Laura transferred to a different university for the fall of 2002 so I don't get to hang out with her as much. :(

I met Laura M in my Calculus II class, then had her in Engineering Physics I and II and in my E.P. I Lab. I really didn't talk to her much then, but then before the 02-03 school year she started dating Dan(the homeboy mentioned above) and I was like "Hey! I know her!" so we hang out more now. Dan hangs out with her a lot more than I do. She's cool.

Mackenzie is yet another friend found through Cross Quest. Rustin and I tend to confuse her at times. She will make a comment about something and we ask "So what are you saying? Are you calling me fat?" She would have the funniest reaction of trying to convince us that she wasn't calling us fat. Though lately she just replies with "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying." Mackenzie is fun to kick back and listen to her speak her mind. She finds many interesting topics with wonderful insights.

Rustin is a computer nerd like me. Yeah...it's kindof scary to see us together. Rustin is part of the leadership with Cross Quest. Usually we hang out at Rustin's house after Cross Quest when there is nothing else going on. Rustin used to play the trombone in band but he quit. He still plays the trombone every now and then though. We just have fun hanging out with our friends. He has helped give me a mohawk a couple of times now. Woohoo.

Well Tabitha is the reason I met Carrie and Karen, as you should have gathered by now. She's got a very crazy personality with lots of flair and she keeps things from getting too normal. Which is good. Cuz we don't like normal. She's spontaneous...
