Endless Storm
The clouds creep across the already cloudy sky.
Raindrops trickle on old tree trunks
of what used to be.
The winds blow wildly down the road as
the old willow tree sways to and fro.
The sky splits in two as lightning streaks across the sky.
The rain falls through the crack
like a mothers tears
when her deepest fears come true.
The winds wail through the breathless air
as hail bombards the world below
with no shelter to hide.
A storm inside my head, my mind.
Never leaving, never dying.
Endless showers shroud over it all.
My thoughts, my dreams,
blown away by the wind,
devastated by the hail
flooded by the rain.
The dark clouds never seem to roll on by.
The sun refuses to light my sky.
This storm will never clear.
