LOREMISA Kenya
I just began sponsoring Loremisa in November, 2002.

Loremisa comes from a nomadic tribe of Kenya known as the Samburu.  They move from place to place to look for pastures and water, and they live in temporary huts built of thatch and cow dung.

His parents keep livestock and earn a meagre income of $42 A YEAR from selling milk - this is not sufficient to make ends meet, but they have no other sources of income.

Loremisa goes to school, and his favorite subject is Math.  He is in grade 11.
He goes to school at a boarding school paid for by Christian Children's Fund. His school is in Barsaloi, which is about 50 kilometres away from his home.

He likes playing games and is fond of toys.

His Uncle Josphat writes to me at the moment, as Loremisa cannot write yet.

Loremisa's father has two wives. Loremisa's mother is his father's eldest of the two wives.  He has 8 brothers and sisters.
