I just began sponsoring Jane in December, 2002. I sponsor her through an organization called Tsungirirai, which is an orphanage for AIDS orphans in Zimbabwe. The $10 a month pays for 'extras' for her - soap, shoes, school books, pencils, towels etc.
Jane is 12 years old, and is in 7th Grade.
The photograph of Jane was taken on the day she went to interview at one of the better schools in Norton. She is wearing her school uniform. The school loved her, but thought it might be difficult for her to transfer because it is her last year in primary school - so Jane decided to stay where she was.
