Fight when need be, but fight only on the side of that which is good and just. To do otherwise is to be Sith.
If a battle can be avoided, then do so. If not then try anyway and never start the fight yourself.
If the Sith start the Battle use all your skills to stop them, but not nescesarily destroy them.
Know the difference between your true enemy and an angered freind. If you strike down your freind thinking he is your enemy, then you will have no freind to help you when your true enemy arrives.
The best way to defeate one's enemy is to make him a friend.
To not fight when need be is as bad as fighting for no reason. If one can stop a Sith then one should do so.
The resaponsibility of a Jedi is to defend peace, justice, and most of all Life from those who would destroy it.
A Jedi must use all he knows to preserve Life, not himself.
