Born on the LabsR4U email list and brought to fruition via the hard work and organization of several people, Lab Camp 2001 was a resounding success. The second weekend of March in the year 2001, Labrador owners from all over traveled near and far to Fripp Island, South Carolina, USA where several gracious list members live and had invited others to come to for a visit. Over 20 Labs and one lone Akita puppy along with their humans arrived on Fripp to enjoy comraderie both human and canine as well as good food, fun, and the beach. Highlights of the weekend included a low country boil and gift exchange on Saturday night, an exciting Saturday afternoon walking the beach and helping a Survivor III hopeful make his video, a gorgeous Saturday sunset and equally gorgeous Sunday sunrise, and Sunday's beach trips.
