G-Pack - Comin Way Tight (1995)

Producer:Greg G
Label: CTL Records
No. Of Tracks: 10

G-pack Consists of Swirly Bird , Young Life , D-mic , St.Nick.  They colabirate together to bring us this great album titled 'comin way tight' which dropped in 1995.

The album can be called G-funk as the genre is present throughout the whole album.

It starts of with the 'intro' now i usually dont really listen to intros that much but this intro , wow , its still the best intro i have heard in any cd period to date.  The beat in the background is classic old skool with a heavy beat and some crazy rapping that flows so well.

'95 resolution' continues the good tracks from the intro , again this track features a wondeful synth beat in the background which slowly lingers around as the track continues , the track again shows us that theses guys can rap and not only rap but flow together too.

'South bay groove' take us back to the old skool with a very whiney synth playing in the background.  This song is easy to kick back and chill to or for riding in the car.
'Reminisce' is a track as the name suggests when the track takes you back to the old days when they were struggling.  This song portrays this message along with a very good beat of hard drums and classic hook.

'Lunatics' comes at the listner strong with a very tight beat , the same stly eis used for this track as g-pack has used for their other tracks in that they use a smooth background synth and in this song along with a guitar.  rapping and backgound female vocals compliment the great set up of beats to make this track very enjoyable to listen to.

Track 6 which is Mac'n 94 is a big harder and more in the gangsta style, when i do listen to this track it plays more in the background and i may listen to it , it does offer a good chorus which catches my attention , this chorus is well make with imaginative rhymes.

'Comin way tight' takes us back to g-funk , it sampes the soft synth from previous tracks , this track features a different of rapping from st.nick which helps spread the album out , it also comes in with a catchy chorus.

'Lifestyles' is basically the same as 'mac'n 94' so in that sense the same gangsta style but with different lyrics.

Lunatics 94 is a great track for me , its got one of theses background synths that seems to rise as the song continues , it seems to have been sampled maybe from 1960 synthetic music or even indian guitar i can say that its a real gem in this album .
'Outro' where maybe not as jumpy as the intro is still to be noted here as it is really more of a track rather than an outro  , it features all the members of g-pack and ends the album nicley

I have given this album 4 G'S , the 4 G's came from the make up of this album with its great gfunk tracks , i think the things that let this album down are the fact that there are a couple of more gangsta tracks in here along with the album being fairly short if you do not include the intro and the outro.
