Breakout Player: David Wright, 3B, Mets David Wright stood out in his stint with the major league club, and should be bound for stardom. Management predict a season of .285, 25 HR, 90 RBI, 20 SB.

The Big Three of Mulder, Hudson, and Santana have a little surprise for all those doubting that this is the Bullet's year. Last year's Cy Young Winner Johan Santana (far right), Cy Young nominees Mark Mulder (far left) and Tim Hudson all have something to prove in the upcoming season.

Next Impact Player: Andy Marte, 3B/OF, ATL The next great player to come from the Bullet's minor leagues? First Rich Harden (now on Boise Rednecks), then David Wright, now Andy Marte. If he wins an outfield spot in spring training, he will be much more than just the next Miguel Cabrera, who also began his career as a minor league 3B. Easily a 30-40 HR guy.
1. Mark Teixeira, 1B, Texas Rangers 2. David Wright, 3B, New York Mets 3. Dallas McPherson, 3B, LAA 4. Andy Marte, 3B/OF, Atlanta Braves 5. Wily Mo Pena, OF, Cincinnati Reds

Wily Mo Pena of the Cincinnati Reds is a powerhouse. Last year, he played to a tune of 26 homers in 336 at-bats. At the age of 23, is there room for improvement? Definitely yes. Let's just say Pena is the second coming of Sammy Sosa. Pena has only one thing to say: "I wanna beet the crip outta da Baystate boneheads cuz dey play dirtie." Well put, Pena. They are boneheads.

C: AJ Pierzynski .300 avg, 15 HR, 80 RBI anyone? 1B: Mark Teixeira I think we'll see a brilliant 40 HR season. 2B: Jose Vidro Top-tier second basemen, but fragile. 3B: David Wright First step into stardom; all-around player. SS: Edgar Renteria Disappointing, but looks to rebound. OF: Manny Ramirez .310, 35 HR, 120 RBI is expected. OF: Shawn Green The Bullets really need him to excel. OF: Wily Mo Pena Hopefully Kearns is not healthy; a star. Util: Dallas McPherson Great potential, but he has to prove it.
1. Johan Santana Another Cy Young. Bottom line. 2. Tim Hudson Being in Atlanta, he might be even better. 3. Mark Mulder Really messed up; can he be an ace? 4. Josh Beckett We think this is finally the year. 5. AJ Burnett Finished strong, only question is health. Backup Starters Relief Pitchers Freddy Garcia Damaso Marte Kelvim Escobar Jorge Julio Adam Eaton Jesus Colome Zach Day Jeremy Affeldt Shawn Chacon

In another spellbinding move by GM/toilet-bowl-cleaning-specialist "Hot Rod" Richard, the Bullets signed this beauty of a man for 3.5 million dollars per year. Unlike Mark Prior, who was skillfully traded to the foolish Baystate Skulls, Escobar doesn't cry about injuries that don't affect his pitching abilities like Prior did all of last year. However, Prior probably feels right at home with all those whining New England fans and those cheating prissies some would call "baseball players".

Developing Story, Update Feb 5th: (clockwise from top left): Chris Burke 2B HOU, Kendry Morales OF ANA, Justin Upton SS/OF, Kyle Davies RHP ATL. Brief Draft Analysis: 1. Chris Burke: Reincarnation of Craig Biggio. 2. Kendry Morales: One scout: Switch-hitting Miguel Cabrera. 3. Justin Upton: More athletic, stronger than brother B.J. 4. Kyle Davies: Arguably Atlanta's best pitching prospect, even before the trades of Meyer and Capellan. Zipped through Single-A and Double-A at age 20, made great start in Triple-A.
