Biography:

Philip left New Zealand with a degree in Botany to study Music Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, Australia. Since graduating he has appeared in The Sentimental Bloke for the West Asutralian Theatre Company and spent two years as a resident baritone with the West Australia Opera Company, performing in various operas, including Tosca, La Traviata, Countess Maritza and creating the role of Father Walsh in Eureka. He played Segura in Our Man in Havana for the Chamber Opera, Melbourne. Philip was a vocal finalist in the Auustralian Broadcasting Corporation's Young Performers Award and has performed as soloist for the A.B.C. with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in various classical and popular concerts. Philip was an original Australian cast member of The Phantom of the Opera playing the parts of Don Attilio and Passarino, also understudying and performing Raoul and Monsier Andr�. He is delighted to make his West End debut in The Phantomof the Opera.
