Biography:

Byron Nease, a native Californian, now makes his home in New York City. There, he made his Broadway debut playing Older Patrick in Mame with Angela Lansbury. Other appearances include the off-Broadway hit Bittersuite, Dujarier in Lola, Starting HEre Starting Now, and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bonnie Franklin. Mr. nease has created the role of the Pied Piper in Liz Shados production of the same name. Regional credits include Lt. Cable in South Pacific with John Raitt, Sir Harry in Once Upon A Mattress opposite Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam, Carl Magnus in A Little Night music, Ravenal in Show Boat, Tom Jones in Tom Jones, Tony is West Side Story, Tommy in Brigadoon, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, and Lancelot in Camelot. Additionally Mr. Nease has been seen in such reviews as Pleasant Little Kingdoms (a collection of Stephen Sondheim, Jacques Brel, Cole and Can't Help Lovin' Dat Kern. On the concert stage he's been a guest soloist with the Hawaii, Minesota, New England and london Symphony Orchestras. He has appeared with such luminaries as Carol Burnett, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, George Burns, Bernadette Peters, Andy Williams, and Pat Boone. An alumnus of the L.A. Civic Light Opera Musical Theatre Workshop, otherdegrees and training were received from Citrus College and Cal State University at Northridge. Mr. Nease is pleased to have made his Toronto debut in Phantom.
