Biography:

This Belgian baritone got his degree at the Royal Conservatory in Gent, after which he studied singing in London, Aldeburgh (Great Britain), and California. He played in many operas and most notably worked on the following over the past few years: In 1993 he played Padre in The Man of la Mancha. In 1994 he played the Russian in Chess in Holland, and in 1995 he became the Raoul and Phantom understudy in Phantom. In 1996 he played the leading role in a Dutch/Belgian version of Jekyll and Hyde.

On October 9, 2000, Hans Peter Janssens wil begin to play Jean valjean in the London production of Les Mis�rables.
