Welcome to Raoul's Realm, the homepage dedicated to all the actors who perform (or have performed) this underwritten role in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

As I have talked to more and more fans of this great show, I began to see the tremendous hate that many people express towards the character of Raoul. I didn't quite understand this. Sure, I can see why people think Christine should have stayed with Erik, but considering her circumstances (especially the fact that the story is set around 1880), choosing the vicomte was probably in her best interest.

This is a homepage mainly about the positive side of Raoul, although I will include a page of negative things I've heard people say about this character.

If you are one of those Phantom fans who despises Raoul with a passion, it's probably better that you go elsewhere. As the Phantom would say, "Go now!" If, however, you feel that the character doesn't receive enough credit, welcome inside. And last, but certainly not least, if you happen to be an actor who plays (or has played) Raoul, congratulations on a job well done! Every actor brings his own charisma to the role of the handsome young aristocrat. I usually see people at the stage door wanting the Phantom's and Christine's autograph, and the ones playing Raoul usually get left out. It takes so much to make it into such a wonderful show - so much talent, endless hours of rehearsals, and a great amount of dedication - so you deserve better.

I am always looking for more information, especially on what the actors are doing now because many have since left Phantom. My goal is to eventually include everything related to Raoul that I can get my hands on.
