Simon began his musical theatre career as Marius in the first Australian production of Les Mis�rables. He went on to be Billy Crocker in Anything Goes (a role which was recorded) and has since moved to London to be, among other things, Leonardo in the musical of that name (also recorded, not yet released) and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. But he began with the Australian Film Institute's best Actor Award for his performance in Fred Schepisi's Devil's Playground. He was then 13. He's also landed roles in the films "The Irishman", "The Clinic" and "Slate, Wyn and Me". On TV he has appeared in everything from serials like "A Country Practice" to international mini-series like "Brides of Christ" and "Heros II - The Return" He has appeared with some of Australia's best theatre companies and taken the role of Stephon in the G&S operetta Iolanthe (with the VSO). Miscellaneous Information: Simon was in London in the first week of July (1999) as a friend of mine ran into him on the tube. He woon Best Actor for The Devil's Playground from the Austrailian Film Institute Awards at age 13.
