For the most part, classes will work exactly as detailed in the PHB, barring a few name changes to better fit the setting. However, there are a handful of small changes. The following list details how character classes will differ from the rules in the book, as well as giving a brief overview of what original class provided the core mechanic. NOTE: the names of the classes often aren't particularly evocative, but since the names are a meta-game construct anyway, I hope no players are calling their characters Arcanists or anything like that in character.
- Favored class: No race has a favored class anymore.
- Multiclass restrictions: There are no more experience point penalties on multiclassing, so any character can be any class at any level they reach without penalty.
- PHB Classes: Unless otherwise stated, no classes from the PHB will be used as is: most classes are modified PHB classes, modified Wheel of Time classes, modified Oriental Adventures classes or modified Star Wars classes. For further detail see the rules changes section on classes.
- Man-at-arms: This class is fairly self-explanatory, and will be similar to the fighter of D&D in many ways. It represents warriors, soldiers, mercenaries and others who have a broad range of training in warfare and combat. It will be a flexible class allowing for many different fighting styles. Most heavily based on Wheel of Time Armsman and Star Wars Soldier.
- Stealth Fighter: This class is also trained in combat, but also learns skills that enable him to attack stealthily. It is a focused type of fighter -- sort of a fantasy Green Beret or SEAL. Most heavily based on the Wheel of Time Algai'd'siswai class.
- Noble: Different from the Aristocrat NPC class, the noble is fairly competent in a fight, but is also trained in diplomacy the political machination. Identical to Wheel of Time and Star Wars Noble class.
- Covert: Some similarities to the Stealth Fighter, but the stealth agent is less likely to train on combat, and more on other skills that enable him to gain access to places he doesn't belong and/or surprise his opponents. Identical to Wheel of Time Wanderer and Star Wars Scoundrel classes.
- Huntsman: A fighter who also is at home outdoors, and has training in hunting and tracking. Very similar to the Wheel of Time Woodsman and the Star Wars Scout.
- Arcanist: A mage who uses his study of arcane lore and generally forbidden knowledge to gain powers that are unnatural, yet potent. Based on a modified Star Wars Force Adept.
- Friar: A faithful saint: a person who gains mystical powers at the behest of some diety. His powers can often be used to strengthen himself or others. A modified version of the Oriental Adventures Shugenja.
- Berzerker: A fighting man who has no training, but through sheer force of will and instinct develops an effective, personal style nonetheless. A modified version of the PHB Barbarian.
