Our next meeting will take place at Baron's Inn in Greene , New York on Saturday December 16th at 12 noon.  Bring a friend a neighbor and enjoy our group with great dinning at Baron's Inn

Our Thanksgiving and Christmas gathering was a complete success we had 44 people attend and we overwhelmed Baron's staff by such a great turn out.  Beautiful long stem read roses were passed out to our wives and significant others after the meal.  By the way, this was a fine idea promoted by our Publisher Manager, Tom Lewis.   The buffet was excellently provided and the service was fantastic.  Everyone was completely satisfied with the meal and the company that was shared at each table.

Since the wives and significant others were present we skipped the meeting and just enjoyed each other.  Jim Croisant (our President) had everyone introduce themselves, where they came from and what they had done in aviation.  There were many old faces and new faces present.   A couple people couldn't come out because of sickness, we hope they are mending well.

A couple of aircraft are for sale; a CGS Hawk (red) 1983.  It has 289 hours with a 447 Rotax engine.   Owner is Bill Brown wants 5 thousand but is negotiable. It has a BRS but it needs to be updated.  Phone Bill at 748-6597..

George Kattle in Windsor has a Para Plane for sale; phone 655-1526 for more info.

Here is a note I received from Doug Johnson on a nice Rotax 503 for sale.

   Mel,

A close friend gave me a Rotax 503 with only 50 hours on it several years ago. I saw this engine installed and used from day 1. He was afraid of his airplane (EROS) and would not throttle up on take-off.  Subsequently he settled to the ground, damaged the fuselage, walked away from it and said "you take it I don't want it any more". I used his instruments, seats, etc in my airplane but couldn't use the engine as my mount is for a Zenoah. I've kept the engine in a temperature and humidity controlled environment for several years thinking I will some day build an airplane that takes a 503. I doubt now that will happen. This engine always ran well and impressed me with its power.

I may as well sell it since it's obvious I will not be using it anytime soon. If you know anyone interested I'll take $1500 or best offer over $1,000. It has dual solid state ignition, dual carbs and exhaust and rear mounted starter. I'm in upper NYS 100 miles north of Syracuse . I am not a newcomer to flying...I won reserve grand champion rotorcraft last summer at Oshkosh with my helicopter.

Our gathering ended at around 2:30 PM.  A real short and sweet newsletter, I just hope I didn't leave anything out.
