We need a count for our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner which will be on November 8th at Baron's Inn in Greene , New York at noon.  They will start serving at 12:30 sharp.  It will be a buffet costing each one $14.58.  This includes three entrees, Roast Beef AuJus, Seafood Newburg, Chicken Marsala (marsala wine)  and two of the following: Penne Pasta with Marinara sauce and vegetables. This includes coffee, tea and a desert choice of pies either apple or coconut cream.  Soda and drinks are extra.  This price also includes gratuities.  The minimum count is 30; we're going for 40.  Our ladies will have their rose as before.  Please give me a count as soon as possible so I can give them a report by the 1st of November.  Either email or call me by phone: [email protected]  607-648-9028.

At our last meeting at the Greene Airport and Baron's Inn  we had 14 present. We got to the airport early to watch Paul Muhlig get his winning helicopter ride with Guy House.  Paul’s name was drawn from a hat for having good attendance. He was able to fly for 1 hour in a MASH helicopter.  This was done to promote more membership.  For each meeting you attend a ticket with your name will go into a hat.  I believe Paul had 9 tickets in the hat.

Old Business we discussed our holiday get together for Saturday November 8th at Baron's Inn which is our next meeting.

New Business None at this time.

Treasures Report $1114.52 and $60 in cash reported from Gil Aitchison.

Don Hollister has wings and a tail and a tractor to make a toy airplane for kids to ride in to promote aviation in youngsters.  He's looking for volunteers to help on this winter project.

Duane Ross Flew some this last month with Gil.

Matt Garbett flew into Greene Airport with his C-150 to observe the helicopter ride and meeting.

Gil Aitchison has been doing some flying with Duane but hasn't had a chance to work on his two place aircraft in the basement.

Dan Fiske has been too busy working and hasn't had much time to spend on his aircraft.  He didn't even hug it this time.

Tom Parkhurst celebrated his Private Pilot's Recreation Certificate by  flying a rented C-150 aircraft into Greene to watch the Helicopter event with Paul and came for the meal and meeting.  Our club celebrated with a cake for his achievement. "Congratulations" to you on this accomplishment Tom!  In addition to all this, he purchased a Model 1 Kitfox.  This means he will go after his tail wheel endorsement.

Armand Fish put a carburetor on his Quicksilver but hasn't tried to start it yet.  He also bought a registered Red CGS Hawk from Jim Leonard.  Now this means he will have to earn his SLA License to fly it legally.  Good going Armand!!

Lou Palombo has been looking at the Manatook Engine.

Mel Wightman Just getting over a bad case of Poison Ivy has been cutting trees and black top coating two driveways, plus getting fire wood, trying to get ready for the cold weather.  Also watching my 401K go South.

Jim Leonard went to an AOPA Seminar in Syracuse , on mastering take offs and landings.  He's also getting closer to solo.  So I guess you know who is next to get his shirt torn.

Jim Croisant has been too busy taking care of his families needs.  His brother-in-law had passed away and his family is still going through grief.  Needless to say he hasn't spent too much time lately on his aircraft.

Don Goodrich has been doing photography from his airplane for his son and also has his C-172 Cessna for sale.

Paul Muhlig has just experienced winning a nice ride from a MASH chopper and has been sprucing up his instrument panel on his CGS Hawk.

George Smith has been working on his Savannah 2 place aircraft.  He wanted to share that ride with Paul in the helicopter but it would only hold 2 people.

 Your Secretary,

            Mel Wightman
