Our next meeting will be Saturday October 15th at noon at Gil and Liz Aitchison's home (same place as last meeting) Jim Croisant will supply us with meat and drink and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass.  Hopefully not too many of the same dishes.  If you want, you can send me an e-mail and I will try to coordinate the food for you.  Things like Cole slaw, beans, potatoes salad, potatoe chips, cake, cookies, etc... are a few suggestions.

We had 14 pilots attend, one of which just became a member Paul Muhlig (former State Trooper) his e-mail address is [email protected]  172 Ahrens Road Parksville , N.Y. 12768 phone 845-292-7332.   Please add him to our list, he also paid his dues for the year. Welcome aboard Paul!!  To all who come don't forget to bring a friend and join in on the gatherings.

Our President Mel McKinney started off with the Pledge of Allegiance.  He was asking if it would be better to have a meeting once every other month but everyone unanimously wanted it once a month as is to maintain continuity.

George Smith is bringing all kinds of guys from his area.  His car pool has greatly improved with another new member Paul Muhlig who is a former State Trooper and had a chance to dabble in other businesses such as trucking.  He has a strong desire to build a Savannah like George’s.

Jim Croisant was the club's cook and has volunteered to do it again at this next meeting.  Many thanks to Jim for supplying the goodies.

Mel McKinney is going to take his ultralight to Fla.   unless he sells it first.  He is asking $8,000.00.  He has his Woody Pusher for sale as well for $12,000.00

Instead of the usual round table review Gary Pressler had a video to show his next project.  He bought a set of plans to build a Little Wing Autogyro.  The Video lasted for approximately 45 minutes.  This is the kind of craft no one in the club has any experience with so it was very informative and interesting how it performed.

The take offs were longer than the landings.  This can be seen on the internet at www.littlewingautogyro.com

Jim Croisant discussed about the alcohol additives in gasoline and how it affects our engines.  Talking about the flash points, power, and pitting on the pistons.  The neoprene rubber is also affected.  Also never use a paper fuel filter in the gas line because the paper will absorb the water.
Our meeting was over at 2:40 PM.

        Your Secretary,

            Mel Wightman
