Our
next meeting will take place on Saturday the 18th of August at noon at Gil
and Liz Aitchison's home in
Our trip to Hammondsport was a very successful. Only 8 of us were
able to go but 3 of our wives were able to go to help make the group rate
possible. We made our stop at Denny's as planned and went over to the
museum by around 12:30 or 1 PM. We spent probably 3 to 4 hours
looking over all those antique aircraft, cars, bicycles and motorcycles.
We also had a chance to visit with the builders in the shop who were busily
getting another craft ready to fly this next September. It didn't take us
long to figure what a great inventor and daredevil Glenn Curtis was.
It was a shame his life ended so soon with a clot resulting from an
appendix operation.
Although
our group was small we had a great time.
