Our next Ultralight meeting will take place at Zaverton's old field or Husky Haven Airport in South Montrose, Pa.   This will take place on the third Saturday of the month of May on the 19th at around 12 noon.  So come on out and enjoy the nice weather, I hope.  I also hope we'll be able to fly that day.  Our Web Publisher Manager, Tom Lewis, should be back by then too.  Maybe with a little luck with the weather he'll be able to fly also.   Dave Thomas said, he'd go after the wings and pizza since it is near where he lives.

We had a total of 13 guys at the last meeting which was held at Baron's Inn in Greene , NY .  Our meeting location was changed at the last moment on account of the snow.  We had to change the location from Gil’s.   He had a muddy mess and it would have been worse with our presence when parking etc.

We ordered our meals as soon as we got there and finished eating at around 1:30.  The meeting  started soon after.  Our president and everyone paid their respects towards our flag and the meeting was under way.

Gil Aitchison gave us a treasures report of $1,166.60 and 100 dollars in cash.  45 dollars went towards the USUA Insurance.

Old Business:  we need to get more pictures of club airplanes to put on the web.

New Business:  Planning on taking a trip to Harris Hill Soaring Museum and to the Hammond 's Port Museum ( Curtis Museum ).  Jim Croisant, our president, found that the group rates are 4 dollars per head.   The plan is to meet at maybe the Dolphin in Appalachian first to re-group.  We may try to take in the  Harris Hill Glider Port too.

Duane Ross was telling us that the guy who purchased Al Osterhout’s aircraft, the white Kolb, had recently passed away.   His wife is located West of Marathon and has the aircraft, the hanger and the field for sale.  He was going to try and find out more particulars latter.  She may decide to break each part separately.

Paul Muhlig was delayed from working on his project because of sickness in the family.

John Torta reported that things are about the same as before and especially since his brother's passing.   He and his family have been stricken with grief and are working their way back to some kind of normalcy.

George Smith went to an EAA Seminar in Frederick , Maryland .  This was a special class for the weekend to enable him to receive a certificate of completion which authorized him to be able to inspect his own airplane.  The cost was approximately 500 dollars for the weekend.

Norm Dibble got back from Fla. safe and sound....

Lou Palombo is looking at a 7AC Champ at Husky Haven.

Gil Aitchison flew one Saturday over my place and also over Jim Croisant's house just to get us going.  He also spent 3K on a new parachute for his T-bird.  In addition he ordered a new windshield, gas tanks for the wings and all the bolts were changed.  He tried to get two people in the craft and found it to be tight between Duane and Gil.  Gil is trying to cut out all the parasitic drag.  His T-Bird is 42ft. by 16 ft.  He's also building a new hanger.  Gil won't be with us to Husky Haven because he'll be under the knife our thoughts will be with him as he re-cooperates.

Allen Huntley flew on the 31st of March and was trying hard to take care of all the snow on his farm.  He's also been working on his C-150 and trying  to sell it for around $15,000 .The color will be diamond blue.

Dave Thomas wants to bring his jet engine to put on a demonstration.   He said to bring your ear plugs because it is a might loud.  In the process of his experimentations he managed to start a pretty good grass fire.

Duane Ross has put in 3 or 4 hours of flying so far this year.

We got two new members this last meeting James E. Leonard and Dan Fiske.  Both are interested in flight.  Welcome aboard!!

Mel Wightman still looking at different aircraft trying to make a decision on what to obtain.

Jim Croisant is still working on his weight and balance and is taking care of many other details.

Thee meeting was over around 2:45 PM.
