Jim Croisant our club President, talked about our trip to the intrepid and since I just talked to him not more than 5 minutes ago he told me that it is imperative that we get our 20 dollars per person in ASAP. Jim and his wife Ingrid have been spending many hours to make this happen. Let's not disappoint them in all their good works. I will be handing out the applications again at the meeting on the 18th of April. Jim will be out of town this next month.
The trip to the Intrepid was voted on and approved for September 19th (which is our September meeting date). A motion was made for the club to pay for the members (only). The admission price was approved for the club to pay. The tickets must be paid in full by the August meeting.

Dave Thomas said, that Kim from (Husky Haven) had to drop out of the Iditarod. He said, no word as to why, but from what I have read it was from the bad weather - 50 mph winds causing the temperature to go to 50 below zero. This made it hard for her to press on and she was afraid her dogs would suffer in the cold. With fear of frost bite and with the wind blowing so hard it made it hard to find the trail. She's still one gutsy lady for trying for it in the first place. Dave also said, there is no activity taken place at Husky Haven. He is still working on his production of hydrogen - no explosion yet. His jet engine was smoking, filled up his shop. He promises to give us a demo at one of our future mtgs. He'd like to put the jet engine on of Paul's ice sleds. Paul said he would pilot the sled.
Dave wants to eventually heat his home by using hydrogen gas.
Butch Osterhout is thinking of another 103 ultralight. He's been flying electric scale planes.
Dan Fiske - Good news - his wife left him. The bad news - she's coming back from vacation. He ordered brakes for his aircraft. He's been so busy he hasn't had time to hug his plane.
Pete Fish joined the Chenango Bridge Pilot's Association.
Alan Huntley wanted to go flying but frost pushed up the hanger door and he wasn't able to open it up.
