The next meeting will be the dinner meeting at the Parlor City Café at 12 noon on Saturday the 17th of April.  Parlor City Café is located on 27 Chenango Street in Binghamton New York .  It’s a good deal for $11.50/person including tax and tip.

The March meeting was held at Tom and Jill Hettig's home in Windsor off Anne's Road.  Once again we thank them for their hospitality they extended us.

We had a total of 13 pilots show for the day.  Some were in Florida , off sick, vacationing or couldn't make it on account of their jobs or other.

Since things didn't work out for a March Prime Rib Dinner we had to make quick decisions as to where we were going to meet again and who was going to furnish the food.  The food part was easy. It was hard to volunteer anyone so I brought the goodies.  Pizza and wings were easy but I bought more than was needed.   We can only guess how many are coming and sometimes have more food than is necessary.  Everyone had more than enough to eat, I doubt if anyone needed to eat that evening for supper.   Though our group was small we still enjoyed each other's company immersed in the idea of flight.

Our meeting started at around 12:45 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Our treasurer Dave Schwartz gave us a treasure report of approximately $1278.00.

We had our round table begin with Al Osterhout who had just bought Don Goodrich's Hawk for $5,000.00. He also found out that he has contracted prostate cancer so our thoughts and prayers are out to him for a fast recovery.  His aircraft had been sitting for 7 yrs. and so Marvelous Mystery Oil was used in his engine to completely free the engine and clean out the cob webs.

Dave Thomas had a special request for Paul Nulton.  Dave phoned Paul and played the part of an owner of a blind dog in one eye.  He needed a glass eye that would be capable of shining in the dark.  A light emitting diode and battery would have to be utilized and properly timed to automatically come on at night.  Paul thought his glass business was rather limited for such complicated procedures on an animal.  Then Dave told him who he was and I guess Paul had figured he had once again been set-up!

Gil Aitchison has his feathers all on now just waiting for the weather to fly.

Tom Hettig got a free RC model airplane from Syracuse , it seems that someone had flown the craft outside of their box and the craft strayed off to Tom's friend's house.  Many parts were available for re-building free from the air.

Ed Ulco passed away February 3rd.  A memorial service is planned for June 5th for anyone that wants to attend.

Most people are waiting for good flying weather and are very ansi waiting.

Dave Schwartz had an opportunity to fly in a 727 recently he had an enjoyable trip I believe it was to Florida .

The Pegasus is still for sale for something above $8000.00 the highest bid above 8k get the ship.   See Al Osterhout for further details.

The meeting was over at 1:50 PM.
