Our next gathering will be on March 21st on the 3rd Saturday of the month as usual.  It was decided that since the weather is a little iffy we will still meet at Baron's Inn in Greene , New York .  Today we got Spring like weather but tomorrow we could go back to Winter.  Shaky weather requires a nice warm place to meet.  We are anxious to see spring come and we’re just tired of this long Winter.  "Oh well" we can stay inside and watch some of those old Sky King favorites that I sent out.  I admit most were corny but at that time we just wanted to see him fly that "Songbird."  For many of us it was the very beginning of a dream come true, to learn how to fly.  I hope you all enjoyed them during these cold days.  If we could all just fly and not have to work that would be nice.  At any rate the time of the meal and meeting is still the same.  We meet at 12 noon and the meeting will be directly after.  Bring a friend or a neighbor and we'll have a good time.

We had our meal and finished it by around 1:30 pmJim Croisant started our meeting with the salute to our flag, then on with the meeting.  The first thing we looked at was the treasures report given us by Gil Aitchison the amount of $1160.52 was reported and some small cash he had on hand for day to day transactions.

There is an EAA web site for a video, called Rainbow Video.  This consisted of volunteers for repairmen courses.

A suggestion was given to have talks to the group on various subjects from many of our guys who are well versed - for instance ground school, engine repair etc.

A presentation will be given at this next meeting.  Jim Leonard volunteered for one month and yours truly on maps in April.  The list of volunteers will be added as we progress onward.  Paul Nulton will give one at Giffin Field in May on fabrication.  We will try to make these meetings more informative and more interesting for all.  So if there are any more volunteers please step forward and name your expertise.

Jim Croisant checked on the museum (Intrepid) - $15 to get in and $54 for each person to go by bus.

The Broome County Air show will take place this year on the 4th and 5th of July Saturday and Sunday.  It should be a good one. The Four Blue Angels will be flying.  It should be a great show with lots of precision.

Mel Wightman said he looked up in the sky one day and saw Gil’s ultralight with skis on.  He also bought two new front tractor tires for his Ferguson To-20.  He's also been waiting patiently for Winter to go to Spring.

Gil Aitchison has his T-Bird in the hanger.  This plane will hold 24 gallon's of fuel.  He's still trying to get a new prop it will cost him $1200.00

Gil put extra headlights on his motor cycle and put his skis on the CGS Hawk.  Gil's son is buying property in Lakewood , Fla. He has 1/2 acre.  Gil said he may be going down in March.
