Our next meeting will take place on the third Saturday of this month on the 17th of March (Saint Patrick's Day) at 12 noon at the Baron's Inn .   Bring you friend or neighbor.  We should have a nice time; the weather will be warmer for a drive.   Hopefully by the end of the month some will want to do some flying.

In February we had 12 members and 2 guests present to join in our meeting.   Everyone had their meals and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given by Jim Croisant our president.

Duane Ross, Gil Aitchison, John Torta and Norm Dibble are continuing on with our Ultralight History.

Old Business; meeting the Grand Canyon Club from Elmira, may not happen until April or May, we'll know more at the next reporting time.

Our field trip to the Soaring Museum  is in the plans, a date still has to be determined.

We got word that the Husky Haven (Zaverton's Field) is now open for public use.  A 7AC Aeronca Champ is available on the field for tail wheel endorsement at a rate of 100 dollars per hour.

Dave Donnora sold his Aerolite and is working on his Quicksilver MXL 2503.  He still has his Wagabond and will start working on that again when the weather warms up.  However the time spent on that may be determined by how many diapers to be changed and bottles might have to be warmed up between the project and the new baby.  We sincerely hope all goes well with your family and the new arrival.

Duane Ross he'd been spending a lot of time blowing snow.

Gil Aitchison has been working on his new project that he purchased from Mel McKinney's (T-Bird).  He plans on buying a Jaburu 85 hp engine for his craft - it has a 2000 hr TBO.  He will be putting on skiis on his Hawk.

Matt Garbett flew a C-150 to Greene, and he said he had been working and taking care of sick people.

John Torta has been making progress on his aircraft and is getting the itch to fly real soon.

Allen Huntley has been doing all he can to keep ahead of all the snow we had and working the farm.  Winter has many challenges.

George Smith received a congratulations cake for his accomplishments of obtaining his Light Sport Aircraft License "CONGRATULATIONS"!  His Savannah should be finished in late Spring or early Summer.  He can hardly wait to get in and go!

Paul Muhlig has been very busy on his family projects and has had little time on his Hawk but expects to get going this Spring.

Tom Parkhurst will have his ship trailable.  He may take it over to cooperstown to fly it.  It is a Kolb Firestar.

Ron Masick is looking for a piece of property for his ultralight.

Jim Croisant has been busy thawing out water pipes, plowing snow and planning his Farm Auction in Kansas (on our meeting day the 17th on Saint Patrick's Day).  He'll no doubt have a lot on his mind during our meeting, thinking about his farm sale.  The meeting may be cut short because of the sale.

Mel Wightman been busy with the snow and has been looking on Barnstormer's for the right aircraft.

We welcome our guests Lou Wither and Dennis Owens.  We hope you can come again.  Lou is a Flight Instructor, I believe from Sidney , and Dennis has been busy keeping Lou out of trouble assisting him in every way he can helping out.

The meeting was over at around 2:30 PM.
