Our next meeting will be on February 17th the third Saturday of the month, 12 noon at the Baron's Inn in Greene , New York .   Our January meeting started after everyone was finished with their noon day meal.  As usual the meals were scrumptious.

Our Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given by our president Jim Croisant.

Treasures report was over $1100.00 presented by Gil Aitchison.

We talked about the other club and possibly meeting with them halfway in Sayre , Pa. but so far nothing had been reported at this time by their President.

Jim Croisant would like to see some history of our club and have it written for new people to read and enjoy.  Duane Ross, Norm Dibble and Gil Aitchison agreed to help write the Club History.  John Torta will be willing to digitize all the VHS tapes to DVD's.

We started our round table review with Allen Huntley he said, he only was able to get 2 hours in for the month of December.

Paul Muhlig has been organizing the electrical wires and recently installed a new battery.  His first priority was to finish his house roofing before the bad weather sets in.

George Smith has been working on his second hanger and has been working on his Savannah .  He was able to fly for only 1 hour in December.

Dave Thomas has been waiting for Spring and has been working around the house.  He has a set of plans for sale, a Team Air Bike.  The plans are huge 4 foot by 5 foot, this was made by Minnie Max.  The plans are about an inch thick.  He paid $250.00  and would settle for $150.00.  He said his biggest problem is that he gets started on something and rarely finishes any one project.   He has a garage full of unfinished projects.  However his jet engine is completed and has been successful.

Duane Ross has a total of 901/2 hours of flight time in for last year and has done some flying this year so far.

It was suggested that we have a meeting for awards with our wives and a gathering for the most hours of flight.  Also something for our officers Secretary, treasurer,  Web Manager and President.  We're not sure what this will be about as yet and further discussions have to be made in the future.  These meetings were held in the Windsor Lodge at one time with special speakers.

Norm Dibble was able to get in 8 hours of flight last year.  He is going to Florida and we've been invited to visit him at The Sea Food Restaurant.  He sold his Ultra Cruiser to Rick Armstrong.

Gil Aitchison was able to put in around 80 hours last year.  He got behind Duane because he had to go to the lake and also he spend time getting his Light Sport Pilot's License.  He also bought an aircraft from Mel McKinney his T-Bird.  He managed to get his truck stuck trying to get out of Mel's field.  For now his new airplane is in the trailer.  Everything has to be taken apart to take care of the silt from the flood.  The engine is shot , it will be a land engine from now on.  A 80 hp. Jabiru will be put on the craft.  This engine will consume 2.25 gallons per hour it is a real nice expensive engine and has good performance.

Tom Parkhurst said, he saw Gil fly over the other day.  Tom has a Kolb he completed 15 hours flight time and it has a Rotax 503 engine.   It has a 3 bladed prop (IVO Prop) it sat out all season and got pretty wet and course needs attention.

Mitch Mitchell has had some success on N numbers and was finally assigned.  He had a technicality on making out the forms.  His Flight Star will have an Airworthy Certificate and his new number is N2008K.  His Affordaplane is ready to fly.  He said, White Birch will be open on the first Sunday in May, this is the Deposit Flying Club.

John Torta's honey do list is getting shorter now and he's ready to start doing some serious flying.

Jim Croisant has only had a chance to check on his plane to see if it is still in the hanger.

Mel Wightman has been looking on Barnstormer.Com to see what the ideal airplane would be to fly.  He has been leaning towards C-150's and Hawks.

There was talk about joining in the club activities out at White Birch with something more serious than hanger flying.

The meeting was over at around 2:30 PM, 14 people attended and all enjoyed each others company, a great time was had by all.

Matt Garbett and Tom Botheuser had to leave early and didn't get a chance to communicate their most recent experiences, we hope all is well with their families etc. but we understand also about other commitments too.

    Your Secretary,

        Mel Wightman
