Our next meeting will take place at Baron's Inn , the same as before through the Winter months until it gets warm enough to start having our picnics.  The 18th of February at around 12 noon.  Bring a friend and enjoy the fellowship, projects, and various experiences in aviation.  Your never too young or too old to enjoy the sport of aviation.

I was unable to attend the last meeting.  Many thanks to Jim Croisant for taking the notes, roll call and setting up for our next meeting in the restaurant.  Everyone enjoyed their meals and each others company.  We were able to have a new member join the club.  His name is Ron Masick from 41 N. Morning Side Drive Binghamton , New York  13901.  Ron's e-mail address is [email protected] .  Welcome aboard Ron!

The meeting started at approximately 1:30 PM.   A round table review was given on everyone's latest project, experience, or other.  Ron Masick was told he needed to do lots of exercises after having his heart bypasses.  So he had gotten into martial arts and has achieved 3rd place so far.  I'm not sure if that is in the world in his class or not but for a man to only exercise to keep healthy I have to say WOW!  I'm not sure many would even think like Ron to go that far in the exercise program.  He's gone to Korea and is scheduled to go to Munich Germany in August to compete.  It sounds like he must be airworthy for flying..... Ron has been flying in Art Gregory's Blue Beech Musketeer.  I personally see Art's aircraft fly over my home just about every Sunday morning around 10 AM heading South most of the time, nice ship.

Tom Botheuser has been working on his Mini Max getting his 503, cowling and etc. installed in the craft.

Duane Ross flew his CGS Hawk twice in the week before the meeting.

Norm Dibble has an Ultra Cruiser for sale cheap and he figures it will be 800 to 1000 dollars for the Rotax engine he has for it.

Alan Huntley hasn't done much towards aviation but is waiting for good Spring weather so he can get his Cessna 150 painted.

Jim Croisant  took his Axle off his Phantom to get the rust off.  He plans on painting it black probably a form of rust proof first.  The craft sat in a hanger that had a dirt floor and moisture which caused the axle to begin rusting.  He also is cleaning his tank and has purchased new plastic hoses for the fuel etc.

Gil Aitchison got back from vacation and took the skies off his CGS Hawk getting it ready to fly for the Spring weather when it gets here.

George Smith has been working on his Savannah getting ready to taxi and run checks on the engine and controls etc.

Paul Muhlig has been helping George with the work on the Savannah .

Matt Garbett flew last week up to Duane's place then to Cortland and headed West over the finger Lakes.

The meeting was over approximately 2:30 PM.

I hope these notes I've made are nearly accurate because if they aren't, we'll be sure and make the neccessary corrections the next time around.  Just don't be afraid to help me make these necessary corrections.  I promise not to give you my job.  The benefits are just too much to give up.

Your Secretary,        PS  I was asked if women could join our group.  Does anyone know?  There is a possibility one or more may join in our group.
