Our next meeting will take place at Baron's Inn in Greene , NY .  The meeting will be on the 19th of January at 11:30 or Hi Noon the third Saturday of the month. 

 

    We had a total of 14 members at our last meeting in December.  Two of the members are new, Art Capwell and his son Todd joined us this last month, welcome aboard!

   

    Remember in June, we have our drawing for the helicopter ride.  So the more you come the more chances you have to get that ride paid by the club. 

 

    We had a nice meal and then our president, Jim Croisant started our meeting at about  !:15 PM. with the flag of our country

 

    Paul Nulton gave us a run down on his latest endeavors with Giffin Airport .   He is now the new FBO and he would like for us to have a fly-in.  He is located in South Montrose, just 15 miles West of Husky Haven.  Paul's runway numbers are 14 & 32 and the runway is 1800 feet long plenty of room to land.  Paul's phone number is 570-746-6066.   Paul says there is a place to eat near by Frank & Mary's Bar.  It is a beautiful place to camp under your airplane - it is country.   Paul is back in the air with his Parasol and he has his skis on for winter.

 

    Al Osterhout has a new Knee and the old knee will be operated on at a later date.  He also is getting the itch to get back up in the air.  He is looking for a new aircraft.

 

    Gil Aitchison brought VCR tapes to sign out and sign back in.  Gil got his 85 hp Jabiru on the T-Bird it is a 4 cycle engine.  He's using all new wiring, gauges and seals etc.  Gil also gave us the treasury report of $1,467.60 and a little cash on hand.

 

    Duane Ross put a new landing gear on his CGS Hawk.  The weld broke on the old gear.

 

    Allen Huntley said,his hanger doors are froze shut and he hasn't done any flying.  He also has been occupied with other endeavors and just hasn't been able to get off the ground. 

 

    Dan Fiske said his wife is very happy with our club.  Claudia said, the red rose was very impressive.  His Pegasus is hung in the air in Ray's hanger until spring when Dan can get out to move it to his garage.  Dan has been very busy with firewood and pushing snow.

 

    Pete Fish Jr. is now retired and is getting very serious about flying.

 

    George Smith has been doing well with his nose cone and bubble on his quicksilver.  His Savannah is still in the build process.

 

    Paul Mulhig is getting his craft spruced up and ready to fly come spring.

 

    Art Capwell (our new member) has a flying parachute that he has been flying in the Pocono's where his instructor resides.

 

    Todd Capwell (Art's son and new member) is very interested in flying.  He is our youngest member to date.  He goes to Chenango Valley High School and us folks from Chenango Forks won't hold that against him.  We'll keep that with our school systems.

 

    Mel Wightman continues to look for that special bird, still not sure what it will be, He has been doing a lot of drooling. 

 

    Jim Croisant Is still working on his Phantom getting it ready to fly this spring.  He also is trying to get students interested in flight.

 

    Our meeting was at a close at 2:45 PM.
