FINAL STRETCH OF THE DERBY

We are now down to the final two weeks of the 2009 baseball season and the fate of both Chicago teams is quite different from where they were sitting a year ago.  But there is still plenty of excitement to be had in the HR Derby as it is still wide open with five entries within 5 HRs of first place.  Andy Boyce appeared to have the top spot locked up a while ago with a 10 HR lead, but now everything is up for grabs.

To help those with the best chance of finishing in the money monitor their situation, I’ve brought back the Leaderboard Breakdown.  This page shows a side-by-side comparison of the rosters of those on top, so that way you know which players to root for and against, and who really doesn’t matter.  Evan Longoria is on all of the entries in the top 40, so his numbers are meaningless.  Others that are picked by almost and are close to falling into that category are Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols, and Carlos Pena – all of which are on at least 15 of the 17 rosters that are currently in the money.

Good luck to everyone down the stretch, and for those of you already looking past the Derby (though you are probably not checking out the website anymore to read this), best of luck with your fantasy football teams.
