Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
The second season premiere started in a board room at MTSU with President McPhee coming in and asking about some statistics. The other people in the room seemed nervous and dreaded giving the answer. When one of the board members finally told him �14 dead or missing�, McPhee told them not to concern themselves, that it was a manageable number.
Stephanie was promoted to Detective and assigned a new partner. An elderly Jewish detective named Billy Goldberg. Also at the police station the Captain mentions a person in a superhero costume that has been seen in and around Murfreesboro and Nashville, helping out citizens and fighting crime. The reports suggest that he actually has superhuman abilities, but the Captain is concerned about a vigilante running around.
It�s the end of the Spring semester and Leroy is moving out of his dorm into an apartment. As he leaves, The Sidelines headline mentions a tragic bus wreck in which several students and the driver were killed. And a slight tremor shakes the room.
Later that night, Steph and Leroy are in a battle with several vampires in the cemetery, when a woman shows up and starts killing vampires right and left. After the battle, Elizabeth shows up and explains that the newly formed Watchers Council has decided to send a Watcher and Slayer to patrol the newly opened Hellmouth and introduces Violet as a Slayer. Then proceeds to explain what a Slayer and a Watcher are to our heroes.
Saul is seen staking out President McPhee�s home when an Earthquake hits. Taking advantage of the situation, Saul enters the home and discovers some possibly occult papers. He is interrupted by the untimely return of President McPhee�s wife. He is able to hide and get out undetected with the papers.
Leroy is driving down the road when the quake hits. He sees an ambulance almost fall over an embankment. He rushes to help and is able to hold the ambulance long enough for the paramedics to get the patient out. He notices afterward that his arm doesn�t seem to be working at optimal efficiency.
Stephanie is coming out of the police station when the quake hits. She spends the examine or so saving everyone from her partner to school kids with puppies. She sees a van about to hit a nun, but she is too far away to help, when out of nowhere comes the guy in a superhero costume. He rescues the nun, waves at the crowd, grins at Steph and leaps over a 7 foot fence.

The gang touch base with each other. They check with the geology department and discover that several smaller quakes have been recorded and seemed to make a line straight from the Hellmouth to Stone�s River National Battlefield State Park. At this point, the gang r realizes that Josh isn�t there and hasn�t been seen since right after Astrid�s funeral. A quick check shows that he isn�t in his dorm and his motorcycle is missing. The gang gathers up his �ghost hunting equipment� and head to the state park.
At the park the gang see several ghostly shapes, including a severely haunted tree, and the sensors detected several strong EMF fields.
An old man answers the door to his house. And is shot. The shooter is not seen..
Josh is seen in a rundown hotel somewhere. He is depressed about Astrids death. He has a vision of Jim Panohoc telling him to find an Indian village and partake in a vision quest to help him find his path.
