A short while later Larry is said to have died protecting his father, Lord John Talbot, from a huge wolf and buried in his ancestral vault -in actuality his father �kills" Larry with the same cane and has him placed in the family crypt covered in wolvesbane and a pentagram necklace .

Larry Talbot is resurrected when grave robbers remove the wolvesbane and pentagram necklace from his body. He kills the robbers and, when human, begins looking for a cure for lycanthropy
Members of the Demon Research Initiative send Angelus to help steal a German U-Boat for the war effort. It is discovered that the Germans are designing a device to control vampires to create an undead army. This information is recovered and researched by The Initiative
1944 While stopping the resurrected Rasputin from contacting extra-dimensional beings for Hitler�s war effort, the US Army and members of The Demon Research Initiative see a demon child arrive on Tarmagent Island Scotland. He is adopted by Professor Broom, who names him Hellboy.
