John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God created you and wants to have a deep and meaningful relationship with you. He has a plan for your life. He wants you to have real peace and joy, the only type that can come from Him. A joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. The first step in becoming a Christian is realizing that God loves you.
Romans 3:23 says, "ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God." The Bible clearly tells us that we have all chosen to go our own way, to do our own thing, insteads of following God and His commands. When we do this we sin, and sin separates us from God and sin carries a high price.
Romans 6:23a says, "The wages of sin is death." Every person has sinned against God, resulting in spiritual death and separation from God. God the Father does not want us to die in our sin, so He sent His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus has provided the only way to have forgiveness, and peace with Him.
Step two in becoming a Christian, recognize that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness.
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstartes His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
In John 14:6 Jesus Said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father but through Me." Jesus is God's only answer to our sin problem, there is no other.
Eph 2:8 "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
We cannot buy our way into heaven or earn our way into heaven. The only way to heaven is
God's way, through His Son Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:13 says: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Do you want forgivness of your sin, peace with God the Father and to know that when you
die you will go to heaven? If so, then Repent of your sin, turn from your sin and turn to Jesus.
Beleive that Jesus died for your sin, that He was buried and rose again as the Bible tells us. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and is coming again. Call upon Him today.
Dear Lord, I know that I have sinned against you and need forgiveness. I now repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I ask you to be my Savior. I commit my life to you, and ask you to take control. Make me the person that you want me to be. Thank you for giving me eternal life.
