Astral Trends

Dangerous Planetary Aspects ahead.

On or about the 4th of December 2000, Planet Mars enters the 176 degree area of the Zodiac (Nirayana) to commence a malicious 8th aspect on retrogade Planet Saturn in Taurus. Entering Libra on the 10 th of Dec, Mars’s approaching aspect on Saturn reaches perfection on Dec17/18 .The aspect continues in declining strength till Dec 31st.

Several other inter-planetary mutual aspects develop later along Mars’s transits into Scorpio in end January and therafter into Sagittarius .

What these planetary trends portend for the markets and world affairs will be detailed in our next edition. Suffice to say now that during the period under reference money invested in the stock markets will be subject to great risks; while world business and international affairs can get into a state of complication and anxiety due to destructive and confrontational tendencies.

Planets and Nasdaq - Co-Relation or Co-Incidence?

In the 13th April 2000, edition titled ‘Beware of Nasdaq’ we stated ‘I would repeat my caution that as long as Saturn is in Aries (upto May 26/27) I would expect a decline in the stock market…………….

…….As Saturn moves towards end May to complete the transition to Taurus things could get worse.Even after transition, the retrogade movements could cause more volatility and decline. All this could mean this is a foretaste of a longterm severe decline of the market to depressionary levels.’

The Nasdaq collapsed on the 14th and 15th of April causing headline news and continued so till end May .The index has so far shown declining volatility of a 1000 points range since Saturn’s retrogression commencement in mid September.Co-relation or Co- incidence?

In the subsequent edition dated 17th April we restated the warning, ‘There is a current inimical conjunction of Mars and Saturn, the proximity getting closer in Astro terms from April beginning. The conjunction may further cause havoc till they are about 10 degrees apart which is till month end. Further during much of May particularly after 15th there is an uncommon planetary conglomeration in Taurus where Jupiter and Saturn just about enter during the month.I would be very careful and avoid jumping in to make a fast buck in anticipation of a rebound.’

A close look at the Nasdaq charts shows that during the period warned (14th april to end april) market fell from 4400 level to 2967 points .It recovered during the first half of May to a level of 4000 points only to fall again to 3000 point level as forecast. Co-relation or Co- incidence??

In the July edition, in the section titled Planetary aspects we said ‘Sun's entry on 4th July and Mars movement on 6th of July into the 80 degree area in the zodiac sets up forthcoming conflagration points. The Lunar eclipse on 16th July,Sun's movement into and beyond 93 degrees from 18th July and Mars transiting the eclipse point between 21st and 24th July can make markets vulnerable..Saturn's 3rd powerful aspect on Mars throughout the last week of July is extremely inimical.’

Compare this forecast day by day with the Nasdaq Index. Index weakened on 6th July .Further on the 18th stocks again fell on profit jitters picking up momentum from the 21st to the month end.Point loss 4300 less 3650. Co-relation or Co- incidence???

Admittedly our study and application of Astrological principles to market behaviour. Is only at an experimental and evolving stage But when forecasts and market movements show a noticeable co-relation even occasionally, let alone in repetitive mode, the issue is worth a closer study.Conventional wisdom says that co-incidences cannot repeat time and again.

But those who simply dismiss the subject without due consideration must be employing a self-limiting type of reasoning that eliminates any type of evidence that is not simple to comprehend, and mechanical in application.

Yeah! ‘Why bother to enlarge the scope of enquiry and walk a lonely path when we are comfortable in being part of the mass majority. Even if we lose money we can draw solace from the fact that the herd too has lost.
