Meditation
There are many ways to meditate and it is important that you chose a method that feels comfortable to you. You may choose to sit in a quite room or with music or even outside (as long as it's not raining). Here's one suggestion:

* You get into a comfortable position (preferably sitting because if you lie down you may fall asleep) and try to clear your mind.

* Now start to visualize a set of stone steps traveling up a sloped field/meadow towards a small cottage/hut.

* Visualize yourself going up the steps towards the hut.

* With each step you become more relaxed and your meditative trance becomes deeper.

* The hut is your sacred place on the spirit realm, so where you will be safe. It can also be your only sacred place, handy for those young Wiccans whose parents will not allow them to have an altar in their house.

* The more detail you put into the visualizations of the hut the stronger it will be as sacred place and the stronger your meditative powers will be.

* Finally do not worry if you can not hold the image for long periods of time. If it was easy very one would do it. Just take it one step at a time (literally) and remember to practice but also to have fun.
