He has completed the Club's Swimathons for at least the last 15 seasons, including swimming the fastest time in 1989/90 and 1990/91.
David has won the following trophies:
Veteran's Trophy - 1999/2000, 2000/01
Cec Pippen Trophy - 1997/98, 2000/01, 2001/02, 2002/03
Geoff Gately Trophy - 1997/98, 2001/02
He is the only Club member to have survived a shark attack, after being mauled by a 1 metre Port Jackson shark at Wylie's Baths in about 2002.
David joined the Committee in 2000/01 and is also a handicapper.
