Peter Carney's first season swimming with the Club was the 1966/67 season, when he must have only been about 2 yrs old!  This was also the first season of fellow Life Member and professional foxer Tim Green.

Peter loaned the Club a dodgy BBQ in the mid 80's, which burst into flames in 1989.

Peter served as Club Secretary from 1977 until 1996, during which time he won the Cec Pippen Trophy 7 times under suspicious circumstances. 

His famous garage clean up in the mid 80s resulted in the loss of years of Club records.
