Mohammed Ali bash's mosque in the castle
after repairing the castle and finishing his palaces, Mohamed Ali felt a great need for building mosque for praying and to be a tomb for him.
so he asked the Turkish engineer Yosef bushman to design it. work in it lasted from 1830 until his death in1848 A.D. and he was buried in the tomb which he prepared for this purpose in the mosque.
