SULTAN HASSAN'S SCHOOLin Saladin's square It was built in the reign of Sultan and King ALNASER HASSAN MOHAMMED KALAWOON in 1357 A.D. If Egypt of the Pharoas is proud of the pyramids,Islamic Egypt has to greatly admire Sultan Hassan's school which is a peerless of any other building in the whole east. It collects the different arts'and historians and globe_trotters said about it:"This school ,its minaret and its dome are one of the world wonders ,and it is the best building in Islam." Who is acquainted with this school ,will see wonders in it,as it is difficult to identify its shape ,for it is multi_sided.It is about 7906 m . Learning in it was on believes. Every belief has a sheikh and one hundred students.The Mamlokians took it as a fortress because of its being before Al Gabal Castle. Monuments committe was greatly interested in it and completed building its two minarets ,repaired its walls,marble,carpentry and floors until it gained its glamor and splender |
