My laptop had revision A06 and I never had issues getting it to work well. The battery didn't report, but the unit would beep and flash on low power anyway. The video was never an issue, it 'just worked' and I never had trouble in the last 1+year of daily use.
I decided to flash the Bios after reading the recommendations on your site. Now, I have problems when switching between the LCD and video output. It creates a section at the top and misaligns the screen. Switching to console and back only works for the video device that was first initialized. This creates a problem when I want to plug into my desktop and use my CRT after booting to the LCD or vise versa. This is using A31. With A06, both outputs worked at the same time, and I could connect and disconnect to my CRT without any changes.
I just wanted to mention this flaw, and recommend that maybe the information on the site be noted. If I were to know this before hand, I would not have made any changes. I should have known, if it is working well then don't fix it ;)
