August 5, 2004:
Last night I held a test screening for a rough cut of the movie. A few minor things were left out that will be in the final cut. I had 7 of my friends watch the movie and fill out a small questionaire, stating their opinion. Everyone loved it, they thought it was "hillarious" and "informative".
This means that production is almost complete. Next Wednesday I will be filming a promo I'm doing for SaveSURGE.org, and that should be it, unless I can think of anything else. Hope to have a finished product in a couple of weeks. I will now be working on DVD menus and such.
July 20, 2004:
Today I got the 7 cans of Surge that I bought from a guy from the SaveSURGE.org message board. It definatly brought back some good times as that fully loaded citrus goodness (5.) went down my throat. It also made for some priceless moments in the movie, which is wrapping up production. I'm in the final stages of editing, and should have a final product out in a few weeks.
Next week I will be test-screening it to get an overall opinion of it, and if there's anything drastically wrong with it, I'll need some more time to tinker with it.

Remember Surge? The fully loaded citrus soda with carbos? It just happens to be my favorite drink. It came into play around 1997, and disapeared from the radars in 2002. Only a select few places in America still carry it in the soda fountains. After coming across a fansite, SaveSURGE.org , I became so inspired by their efforts to bring Surge back to the markets that I decided to make a documentary about it. We follow myself and my friend Ryan as we share our memories and try to bring Surge back to our area. Shooting began on 6-27-04, and should be done in a few weeks.
