On Thursday 14 August 2003 at 1611 the power went off for 50 million people. Toronto was one of those places affected.
I was at work at the time when the lights went out. I went down the 15 flights of stairs and had some beers on Queen Street, taking pics along the way. Hey I don't know about everyone else, but I thought it was fun! And seeing all them kids walking home was a laugh.
I finally headed home around 1830 and after a walk to Davisville and hitching two rides to Finch and a bus to Oak Ridges, I open the door to the house around 2230. |
