Since the invention of chairs with wheels, people have scooted across their office floor and study carpets.  But in 1979 students at Duke University raced through the town on wheeled chairs, hence the sport of CHAIR-RIDING was born. The students including their spiritual leader Jeff Faulkes suffered numerous minor injuries by flying down hills and attempting jumps off makeshift ramps.  The drunken practice continued throughout their years at the University, but appeared to die after the students went their seperate ways.
