Randi McNally's Bio
In The Beginning There Was Mom, Dad, my sister Lola and my brother Andy. Then the world changed when I was born.  Not that I was or am so special, but just that the world changes everytime a baby is born.  From day one I was never like the rest of them.  They had blonde hair and blue eyes....me...brown hair and green eyes.  My sister used to tell me the police left me on the door step.  When I was younger I thought that was a bad thing to be different, but now...Hey I make a living off of it, and the people seem to enjoy it, so I've learned to embrace it.  I can't remember a time when I have ever been described as your typical, average american girl.
Born in Salem, Oregon on January 8th, 1960
graduated From Clay Co. High School 1978
Divorced with 3 children and just as many cats
(and just as many ex-husbands too...he he)

First job in radio: WACD AM in Alexander City.1989*
*They Say You Can't Start At The Top!
I applied at WASZ FM in Ashland, Alabama with Al Haynes in 1989.  I was looking for my first real job in radio.  Al, who now works here with us, told me I was too good to work at his station even though I had never been on the air at a commercial radio station for one second.  Apparently he knows what he's talking about....2 weeks after I took the job at WACD, Alabama 100 stole me away to do mornings at a 100,000 watt station. I almost didn't take it. One usually has to do over-nights, mid-days, afternoons, and
then mornings. But these people were offering me mornings right off the top! My career has been right here in Anniston/Gadsden ever since.
So I've Been Told...
You know my career is still somewhat of a mystery to me.  Don't really know why so many people love me, but they do.  Jess Smith, once told me I was a natural. He said some people have to learn it, and some people are raised in it, but I was just born to be a radio announcer.  I have been told I have a soothing voice, and a inspiring personality.  Also a infectious laugh, a witty sense of humor, and most listeners say they like listning to me because they feel like I'm talking right to them.  Ask anyone who knows me or listens to me, and they'll say I'm crazy, but they love me. I've been told I have one of the best voices and personalities in North East Alabama.  Now I'm not tooting my own horn, but you came here to find out more about me, so here you are...Besides my momma told me not to toot in public...
