Our Story
October 24, 1998: A beautiful fall day Scott and Randi met on the platform of the New York City subway station at 71st/Continental Avenue in Forest Hills, NY (Queens). Randi and a friend were planning to go to Central Park for the day. Randi's friend invited a friend of hers, Gwen, along. Gwen invited Scott. The four of us spent the day together, and at the end, we all exchanged phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
October 27, 1998: The first date Scott picked Randi up at her apartment, and scored major points by showing up in a Mets jacket. We spent three hours simply walking around the neighborhood and talking... and talking... and talking. Later that week, we went to an Islanders-Devils hockey game at Nassau Coliseum... and sparks flew (especially after Scott gave Randi two dozen roses!).
February 17-18, 2000: We're engaged! We were planning to go to Philadelphia that weekend to watch Penn play basketball and visit Scott's Uncle Dave. Originally, Scott hoped to propose in Philadelphia, perhaps on the Penn campus. But with the ring in his pocket, he couldn't wait any longer, and at 12:15 a.m. on Friday the 18th, he bent down on one knee and proposed in Randi's apartment... And She Said Yes! (big surprise!) We called her parents and their siblings that night. Scott's parents were in Tahiti -- and we surprised them with a sign announcing the news upon their arrival home.

While we've had wonderful times at home, our vacations have been among our fondest memories together. We've had great trips to Washington D.C., Boston, Mystic, Arizona, Las Vegas, and, of course, Northern California for our honeymoon..

We didn't take this picture (of the Grand Canyon, of course) - but we took lots just like it!
June 24, 2002 - OUR WEDDING DAY! It poured the day before, but the sun came out just in time for our wedding. We each spent the wee hours of the morning with our friends in hotels on opposite sides of the East River. By 9 a.m., however, we were both at the Water's Edge in Long Island City, awed by each other, the view and the magnitude of the day. It flew by - and the highlights are many. See Our Pictures too!
